At the time of booking
You can purchase Basic Travel Protection when you complete your reservation. This is the easiest time to add coverage since it's part of the checkout process.
After booking
The window to purchase it depends on how far away your check-in date is:
30 or more days before check-in: You can purchase it anytime before your trip.
Less than 30 days before check-in: You have 5 days from the date you made your booking to add it.
Why timing matters
Travel protection helps protect you if you need to cancel or change your plans due to covered events. Adding it early gives you the most protection for your trip.
