Once your cancellation goes through, your refund is on its way. The wait from that point is your bank's processing time — here's what to expect.
On Whimstay's side
Refunds are issued the moment your cancellation is processed. It's on its way to your bank or card provider the same day the booking is canceled.
On your bank's side
Most refunds arrive in 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. Some banks post them in a couple of days; a few take longer. The window depends entirely on your bank's processing time.
If you paid with Affirm or Klarna
When you use Affirm or Klarna, Whimstay issues the refund back to them. Affirm or Klarna then handles the timing of the credit to you. If you have questions about a refund through Affirm or Klarna specifically, contact them directly.
If you paid by bank transfer (ACH)
ACH refunds can take a few extra business days on top of the usual window because of how bank-to-bank transfers settle.
If your refund hasn't arrived
Check with your bank first. They can tell you whether the refund has been received and when it will post. Banks sometimes hold incoming funds for a day or two before they show up in your available balance.
If you've checked with your bank and your refund still hasn't arrived after 10 business days, reach out to us at help.whimstay.com and we'll be happy to help track it down.
