If you just booked and your bank statement shows a pending charge from Whimstay, that's normal. It's the booking amount being processed, not a duplicate charge. Most pending charges post as a final charge within a few business days, depending on your bank.
If you paid by bank transfer (ACH)
ACH payments are captured at booking, so you'll see the charge move from pending to posted within a few business days as your bank processes the transfer.
If you paid in installments
Affirm or Klarna — the financing provider charges per the schedule you set up with them.
Whimstay part now, part later payments — your first payment shows on your statement at booking; the second payment is processed automatically on the date shown in your booking confirmation. You'll see both as separate charges.
Why your host might say "no payment received"
Whimstay processes the booking payment and issues payment to your host. Some host systems may show a booking as unpaid since they accept bookings from multiple channels but rest assured your booking is fully paid through Whimstay. If your host says a booking is unpaid, reach out to us and we'll reach out to them to clarify.
